ICAO Regulatory Context
ICAO Annex 14, §9.4 — Wildlife Hazard Management: Contracting States shall ensure that wildlife hazard assessments are carried out at aerodromes. The CAF region spans 30 states across the Central Asian Flyway, encompassing the world's highest-volume migratory corridors. Seasonal birdstrike risk is elevated during peak passage periods (Aug–Nov, Feb–Apr) when flocks of Critically Endangered and Endangered species transit approach and departure corridors at 50–3,000 m AGL.

CMS/UNEP Raptors MOU · Siberian Crane MOU · AEWA: Birdstrike response involving listed species requires coordination with national wildlife authorities. Lethal control is restricted; habitat modification and active deterrence are the primary tools.
